BESIVANCE® 0.6% 5ml

Besivance is a prescription sterile topical antibiotic eye drop used to treat bacterial conjunctivitis (pink eye).

Key features:

– Contains besifloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that works by stopping the growth of bacteria that cause conjunctivitis

– Provides rapid bactericidal activity against common ocular pathogens including S. aureus, S. pneumoniae, H. influenzae

– Twice daily dosing with a unique dual-release delivery system

– Microsuspension formulation allows for a uniform, saturated suspension with small particle size for enhanced ocular penetration

– Comfortable, well-tolerated ophthalmic suspension with reduced incidence of blurred vision compared to other antibiotics

Dosage:

Age 1 year and older – Instill 1 drop in the affected eye(s) twice daily, 8 to 12 hours apart for 7 days.

Storage:

– Store at room temperature 20° to 25°C (68° to 77°F).

– Discard 4 weeks after opening.

Warnings:

– Do not use if allergic to besifloxacin, quinolones, or benzalkonium chloride.

– May cause temporary blurred vision, eye irritation, or sensitivity to light.
