ZYKADIA®

Zykadia is a medication used for the treatment of certain types of lung cancer. It contains the active ingredient ceritinib, which is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor. Zykadia works by blocking certain proteins that are involved in cell growth and division, thereby slowing down or stopping the growth of cancer cells.

This medication is typically used in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that has a specific genetic mutation called anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) fusion gene. Zykadia is only prescribed to patients whose cancer has progressed despite treatment with other therapies or whose cancer has spread to other parts of the body.
